The Faculty of Computer Sciences benefits from the Laboratory on Artificial Intelligence in Albania and Kosovo (LAIA) project of ERASMUS2027
The Faculty of Computer Science has been selected as a participant to benefit from the “Laboratory on Artificial Intelligence in Albania and Kosovo (LAIA)” project, funded by the ERASMUS2027 program, call ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE. This project aims to strengthen capacities in the field of Artificial Intelligence in Albania and Kosovo, creating a laboratory for cooperation and development of technologies in this field.
The LAIA project was coordinated by the University of Piraeus, Piraeus Research Center, and involved a consortium of educational and university organizations from Eastern Europe. The Faculty of Computer Sciences is included as one of the beneficiary institutions, having the opportunity to develop and improve study programs, training and other activities in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
In addition to the Faculty of Computer Sciences, the project consortium includes other prestigious universities and educational institutions such as Tallinna Tehnikaülikool, Mediterranean University of Albania, University of Elbasan Aleksander Xhuvani, Agricultural University of Tirana AUT, Polytechnic University of Tirana (UPT), Universum College, and University of Prizren Ukshin Hoti.
This project will help to increase academic and scientific potential in the field of Artificial Intelligence, as well as cooperation between universities and different organizations to build a common study and development environment. The coordinator of the project is Prof. Assoc. Dr. Zirije Hasani, the academic staff of the FCS will also be involved in the project.
