Applications are now open for the Artificial Intelligence Hackathon – Digital Skills Festival 2025

All students, tech enthusiasts, and professionals are invited to apply for the Artificial Intelligence Hackathon, taking place as part of the Digital Skills Festival 2025, from May 21 to May 23, 2025, at ITP Prizren.

This Hackathon is organized by the Faculty of Computer Science at “Ukshin Hoti” University of Prizren, in collaboration with other public and private universities in Kosovo, as well as industry partners, and is part of the ERASMUS+ LAIA project.

The goal of this event is to encourage innovation and the development of creative solutions in the field of Artificial Intelligence, through teamwork, inter-institutional collaboration, and professional mentoring.

This entire initiative is made possible through the support of the Innovation and Training Park – ITP Prizren, which also offers accommodation for interested participants during the event days.

5 Full Scholarships for the EMILDAI Programme!

Applications are now open for the Artificial Intelligence Hackathon – Digital Skills Festival 2025

We are excited to share an excellent opportunity for students in the Western Balkans to join the European Master in Law, Data, and AI (EMILDAI) programme, which is jointly delivered by Dublin City UniversityAvignon Université (France)Universidad de León (Spain), and Università di Pisa (Italy).

We are offering 5 full scholarships specifically for candidates from AlbaniaKosovoMontenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. These scholarships are funded by the Erasmus Mundus Programme, covering €1400 per month to support living expenses, along with full tuition fees for the entire two-year duration of the programme (120 ECTS).

EMILDAI offers two study tracks, Cybersecurity and Data Governance, and is open to students with a background in law or computing. This is an excellent chance for students to gain an internationally recognised degree in cutting-edge fields with full financial support!

We are so happy to announce launching and opening call for applications for the new edition of the Young Innovators’ Program (YIP) 2024.

As you are already informed, the YIP is part of the Digital Skills Festival (DSF), supported by GIZ ITP Digital Transformation Centre (DTC), and is a joint undertaking between eight public and private universities and colleges in Kosovo aiming to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and research among students and professors, as well as strengthen connections with the private sector and other relevant innovation ecosystem players.

This years’ edition will be focused on environmental and sustainable challenges to support faster green transition of our society, hence aiming at promoting innovation and solutions contributing to:

1. Recycling and upcycling of waste,

2. Digitalization of businesses to reduce waste, carbon emissions, and become environment friendly,

3. Fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Similar to last year, this years’ edition of the Program will take place during weekends at ITP Prizren, and will last until 25 May for the demoday during the Digital Skills Festival.

Zirije Hasani presented the new study program applying for Software Design (BA) accreditation and received comments from the industry so that what will be offered to students is in line with what the labor market requires. Dr. Petra Karanikič, visiting professor from the University of Rijeka, Department of Biotechnology, Rijeka, Croatia.

The lecture is held physically and online and is dedicated not only to the students of the Faculty of Computer Sciences, but also to the students and staff of the “Ukshin Hoti” University and to all those interested!
