A delegation from the municipality of Bingen in Germany visited the University "Ukshin Hoti" Prizren

Prof. Asst. Dr. Zirije Hasani, serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences at the University “Ukshin Hoti” in Prizren, welcomed a delegation from the Municipality of Bingen, Germany, on Friday. The delegation included Thomas Fesser, Mayor of Bingen; Jurgen Port, an official; Annete Hammel from the SPD entity; and Arjeta Nezaj, who served as a translator. The Dean was also joined by PhD.c. Arber Beshiri, the Head of Teaching at the FCS.

This visit was a part of a broader engagement within the municipality of Prizren, highlighting the long-standing twinning relationship between Prizren and Bingen.

During the visit, Dean Hasani provided an overview of the University’s status, focusing on the achievements and challenges faced by the Faculty of Computer Sciences. Additionally, some students from the academic unit had the opportunity to showcase their work to the visiting delegation.

A delegation from the municipality of Bingen in Germany visited the University "Ukshin Hoti" Prizren

A group of 7 students participated in the research that lasted more than three months under the mentorship of Hasani on two main topics: Analysis of the design of websites of public universities in Kosovo (with Pupil Labs) and the establishment of Libelium Smart Agriculture and Smart City data collection centers, these devices were funded by the ERASMUS + PhDICTKES project where the University is a partner.

The results of the research are described in the scientific paper which will be sent for future publication and also the collected data are used for research by students in Master study to prepare the master thesis.

ICT-GATEWAY Open Day

A delegation from the municipality of Bingen in Germany visited the University "Ukshin Hoti" Prizren

On a group of 25 students from the Faculty of Computer Science participate in the first edition of ICT Gateway at ITP. This event aims to bring together all software engineers, network architects, technology analysts, computer support specialists and analysts in the Artificial Intelligence of the future. Part of the organization of this event was also the Dean of the FCS Prof. Ass. Dr. Zirije Hasani.

The group of students was accompanied by teachers of the Faculty of Computer Science ër Beshiri and Fetahi.

The students managed to meet with the representatives of the companies in the IT sector located in ITP and also met with students from different universities in Kosovo exchanging ideas and their knowledge in this field

Study visit of UPZ students to SEEU

A delegation from the municipality of Bingen in Germany visited the University "Ukshin Hoti" Prizren

On students of the University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren mainly of the Faculty of Computer Science participated in the study visit to the South East European University in Northern Macedonia. The visit was organized by the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science Hasani who was accompanied by other teachers of this faculty. During this visit, students had the opportunity to visit some of the laboratories with the latest technology used for research in the field of computer science, such as: laboratory dedicated to virtual reality, various drones, laboratory for future technologies, etc. They had the opportunity to use such equipment themselves. Since these two Universities have cooperation agreements with each other, students in the future can use these laboratories for their research.

A one-day workshop on 3D modeling and animation was held at ITP-Prizren

A delegation from the municipality of Bingen in Germany visited the University "Ukshin Hoti" Prizren

In the framework of extracurricular activities that the management of the Faculty of Computer Science organizes continuously, on a one-day workshop was held for students of the Faculty of Computer Science at ITP Prizren, specifically it was possible to use the laboratory for 3D printing and animation is located at the ITP and training was provided on the use of such equipment by those in charge of that center. This training was conducted in order for the theory to be applied in practice, in the knowledge they receive from lectures and exercises for relevant subjects to be implemented in practice. Such activities will continue in the future with the aim of advancing the knowledge of our students.
